Fishing Report May 12th 2024

We have finally rapped up our spring steelhead season and trout fishing is in full swing! It has been a nice change of pace trading the 7wts for the 5wts! Trout fishing has been consistent, with many healthy browns and rainbows each day. Water conditions have been ideal for swinging wet flys and nymphing. Majority of our fish have been keying in on salmon fry patterns with various caddis and pheasant tail nymphs having their moment at certain times of the day.

Dry fly opportunities are available in certain stretches with light amount of caddis coming off throughout the day. It shouldn’t be too long before we start to see a fair amount of sulfurs and drakes making there presence. I still have a few days and evenings available in May and June if you’re interested in spending a day on the river!
