Todd with an awesome late winter hen!

Spring steelhead fishing is in full swing! We had a great bump in water levels from recent rain and snow melt that pushed in a few fresh fish this past week. With water levels shaping up nicely, water temps still remain in the low to mid 30s keeping the bite a little bit of a roller coaster. Fishing and water temps should improve this week with considerably warmer than average weather.

With the higher and dirtier water, eggs in brighter yellows, pinks and clowns have been producing. Look for stone flys and fry patterns to start coming into the picture with the warmer weather. Things are super busy on the steelhead front. If your looking to get out and enjoy the river I still have April 22nd, 23rd, May 6th and 10th available for charter. Its never too late to start thinking trout dates in May through June! Swinging wet flies, stripping streamers and waiting for the evening hatch is just around the corner!

Hope everyone has a safe and fishy week!
